MRS. GLENNA DAWSON MEDINA

Funeral services for Mrs. Glenna Dawson Mednia, age 68 of Holly will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 10 AM in the St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. Visitation will be held Wednesday in the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Houston County Child Welfare Board.

Mrs. Glenna Dawson Medina, age 68, of Lovelady, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 23, 1943 in Pensacola, Florida and was a resident of Holly for the past 21 years. Mrs. Medina was a member and past secretary of the Houston County Child Welfare Board. She was also a member of the St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church in Crockett where she had served on the Ladies Guild and as a Eucharist Minister.

Survivors include husband, Louis A. Medina of Holly; son, Larry R. Medina and wife, Kristy of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Kendra Sosa and husband, Alex of Houston, P. F. C. Stephen Medina of Washington State; great-grandchild, Alex; brother, Sam C. Dawson and wife, Leslie of Austin; sisters, Frances Wiechkoske and husband, Jim, Jean Higgins and husband, Earl, Janice Syphrett and husband, Bobby, Jeanette Brown and husband, Floyd all of The Woodlands; brother-in-law, Pete Medina and wife, Janie of Houston; eight very precious nieces and one nephew; numerous other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Pace, age 83 of Crockett will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10 AM in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday in the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home from 6 PM until 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church or the Harvest Church.

MRS. MARY JANE DOMINY

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Dominy will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Pennington Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Mary Jane Dominy, age 83, of Pennington, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the Methodist Hospital in Houston. She was born September 8, 1928 in Bald Prairie, Robertson County, Texas and had lived in Pennington since she was the age of 6. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Groveton. Mrs. Dominy had worked and retired from the Department of Agriculture.

Survivors include husband, M. Q. Dominy of Pennington; son, Wayne Dominy of Pennington; daughter, Susan Bayne and husband, Bill of Spring; grandchildren, Leslie Gonzalez and husband, Dooley of Hillsboro, Lori Gallagher and husband, Tony of Belton, William Bayne of Spring, Brian Bayne of Spring, Emily Harrington and husband, Edward of Natchitoches, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Elisabeth, Nicolas, Katelynn Gonzalez, Madison Gonzalez and Jake Gallagher; brothers, Richard Arnold of Wharton, Thomas Hale Arnold of Hurst; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Alice Arnold and brothers, Odell Arnold, Homer Arnold, Bill Arnold, Edwin Arnold, Noble Arnold and Henry Stone Arnold.

Zion Cemetery of Grapeland. Visitation will be held Friday in the Jessie Coleman Chapel of J. B. Coleman Memorial Mortuary from 9 AM utnil 6 PM.

WILLIE DWITT PERRY, JR.

Memorial services for Willie Dwitt Perry, Jr., age 57, of Centerville will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2 PM in the Leon County Cowboy Church in Centerville. Bro. Tuffy Loftin, pastor of the church, will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers the family of Mr. Perry requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Willie Perry, Jr.
Willie Dwitt Perry, Jr. was born on September 24, 1954 in Livingston, Texas to Willie Dwitt, Sr. and Audrey Lee (Clifton) Perry and lived mainly in the Livingston and Nacogdoches areas while growing up. Mr. Perry worked in various fields during his life, including ARCO Chemical; Big Brown Coal Mine in Fairfield; Ranch Foreman at Diamond P Ranch in Centerville and also, as a boiler maker for Georgia Pacific making plywood. Mr. Perry was a mild mannered man and loved playing music at the Cowboy Church, where he was a member. He also wrote music and rearranged music so that it was suitable to play in church. Mr. Perry was also an avid gun collector. He had lived in Centerville since 2003, coming from Shepherd, Texas. Mr. Perry passed away January 29, 2012 at his home. He is preceded in death by both of his parents.
Surviving family includes wife, Elizabeth Perry of Centerville; sisters, Wanda Lloyd of Sulpulpa, Oklahoma, Margie Colburn of Cleveland, Texas and Kathy Holston of South Bend, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of friends.
