Mr. James W. Woolley, age 69, of Crockett, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin. He was born July 19, 1941 in Houston County, Texas and had lived in Crockett most of his lifetime. Mr. Woolley was a veteran of the United States National Guard. He was a past member of the Lions Club and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Woolley h ad worked for Cameron Iron Works. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Woolley of Crockett; son, Jimmy D. Woolley and wife, Danica of Corsicana; granddaughters, Jada and Jaylee Woolley of Corsicana; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by parents, Jimmy and Annie Mae Woolley.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. James W. Woolley will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment will follow. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home. MARGUERITE "MAGGIE" RICHARDS
Mrs. Marguerite "Maggie" Richards, age 91, of Lovelady, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the East Texas Medical Center-Crockett. She was born November 19, 1918 and enjoyed living in the country. Mrs. Richards was retired having worked in the Banking business in bookkeeping. She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids. Mrs. Richards was a member of the Lovelady Church of Christ and was a faithful Christian. She loved birds and history of Houston County. Mrs. Richards enjoyed quilt making and crocheting. Survivors include son, Bill Cannon of Palacios; daughter, Frankie Wells and husband, Leron of Lovelady; grandchildren, Leron Thomas Wells, III and wife, Jenny of Sugar Land, Shelly Bellis and husband, Bobby of Lovelady; great-grandchildren, Kyle Bellis, Leah Bellis and David Lee Wells; very special and dear friends, Carol and Mike Broxson of Lovelady; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by husband, Homer Richards; first husband, Homer Franklin Cannon; one infant daughter and twin infant sons.
